A holiday tradition for nearly twenty years, the Holiday Open House features decorations, hot spiced cider and lots of live entertainment. The Kendrick Mansion is decorated from top to bottom with garlands, bows, candles and flowers, plus a number of Christmas trees (all decorated in period style). While the glitter of tinsel and glass beckons from the exhibit rooms, the smell of cinnamon, apples and oranges tempts the visitor into the Kitchen for a taste of the holidays.

Performances by local musicians are a popular component of the Open House. Past performers have included the Prairie Winds Chamber Group, Sheridan Youth Choir, Sheridan Longhorn Chorale, Sheridan High School Treblemakers, SHS Spectrum, Bo & Jo, Sheridan College's General Delivery, and a variety of other vocal and instrumental performers.

The Holiday Open House generally runs from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on the first Friday, Saturday and Sunday of December. Scheduled performers will be announced shortly before the event. For more information, contact Trail End. (information provided by www.trailend.org)
